School-Age Concerts
6 to 16yrs Concert (School-Age)
Saturday 13th December at 1:00pm

We keep the concert relaxed and fun, as long as the kids are having fun and the routine looks together and special, us and your teachers are happy!
All our dance routines are appropriate for their age without overtly inappropriate moves. (They are kids!)
The finale is performed with all the students and we will start working on this in their class time during Term 4.
The concert usually runs approximately 60 minutes.
There will be a stop/start dress rehearsal on the morning of the concert.
The theatre is booked for the whole day so we can rehearse, take a break, reset and then do the show.
You can sign in/drop off your kids in the morning and come back at 12.30pm to watch the show.
COSTUMES –
The costumes are hired each year through us, and we ensure your class has a costume relating to their dance routine, fits your child’s body and is age appropriate.
We make this as stress free as possible for you. We provide a full Costume Hire Service.
This includes
- Designing to match your teachers ideas for the routine.
- Organising, researching, sewing, purchasing, and glitterizing of the costumes.
- Fittings and alterations.
- Transporting to and from the theatre safely and neatly.
- Attend concert day and assist with all costume needs.
- Providing all extra concert supplies- bobby pins hairspray coat hangers etc.
- Packing up and cleaning the costumes after use.
Your hands are left free to clap away at the marvellous dancing performance without ever touching a sewing needle or worrying a glove or headpiece has been left at home…
FINALE COSTUME –
will be supplied by you, you can make it as elaborate or simple as you please. A colour scheme will be set in term 4.
Costume Fittings
we will bring along the started costumes early in term 4, to be test fitted in their class time. The costumes will not be complete at this stage, but we can see sizes and how it works with their routine. At their fitting we will discuss suitable hair styles, shoes to supply etc.
MAKE UP –
Spray tans and full Make up are not necessary! If you’d like to add a little blush, lippy or mascara feel free. It helps to not look washed out on stage. We shall leave it up to you to decide.
PARENT HELPERS –
For the younger classes we will need 2 parents to stay and help with your child’s group during the rehearsals, to help with their costume changes and to keep them calm and relaxed.
We will have a sign-up sheet on the wall early next term.
DVD – We will have a DVD available to order at the concert.
PHOTOS – There will be an opportunity to take a group shot photo of each class after each dance routine.
