Once upon a term, in a very glittery studio in Mordialloc, something magical happens: Fairy Day.
It’s a day dedicated entirely to our littlest dancers — a celebration of everything sparkly, joyful, and wonderfully fairy-like. No pressure, no performance nerves, no recital-ready routines. Just wings, wonder, and an awful lot of glitter.

What is Fairy Day — and why do we do it?
Fairy Day is our annual in-studio celebration for the tiniest members of our GTW community. We created it because we believe that even the very youngest dancers deserve a day that’s theirs — a day that says: you belong here, you are magical exactly as you are, and dancing is meant to feel like this.
Every year on or around International Fairy Day, we transform the studio into an enchanted wonderland and invite our little ones (and their grown-ups!) in to celebrate. It’s become one of our favourite days on the GTW calendar — and we think it will become one of yours too.
—
What does the day actually look like?
Think fairy lights, flower crowns, and tiny dancers twirling with their whole hearts.
The day is packed with gentle, joyful activities — the kind that feel like pure magic to a three-year-old:
* 🌸 Fairy dancing — movement and music in the most playful, imaginative way
* 🍄 Fairy treats — because every good celebration needs something sweet
* ✂️ Fairy crafts — something beautiful to take home and treasure
* ✨ Fairy fun — and everything in between
The atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and completely low-key. There’s no right way to participate — little ones can join in as much or as little as they like. Even the shyest fairies tend to find their wings by the end.

Who is Fairy Day for?
Fairy Day is designed for the children in our Fairies program — our youngest dancers aged 1.5 to 5 years old.
Families are absolutely welcome (and encouraged!) to come along. We know how much it means for little ones to share these moments with their favourite people, and we love seeing the joy on everyone’s faces — children and grown-ups alike.
If you’ve been curious about GTW but haven’t quite taken the leap yet, Fairy Day is also a beautiful, no-pressure way to come and see what we’re all about. The door is open.

The GTW philosophy: gentle, joyful, pressure-free
At Glittery Tapping Wonderland, we don’t believe in rushing children through childhood. Our littlest dancers are at a stage of life where the most important thing they can do is play — and we think dance should feel exactly like that.
Events like Fairy Day exist because we want every child who walks through our door to feel safe, celebrated, and completely free to be themselves. No expectations. No performance anxiety. Just the pure, unbridled joy of being a little kid who gets to twirl around and call themselves a fairy for the afternoon.
That’s the GTW way — and we wouldn’t have it any other way. 💕
