Glamorous Dancewear!

Leotards
Long Sleeve Tie Tops
Short Sleeve Tie Tops
Ballet Tights
Ballet Shoes
Wings
Wands
Fairy skirts.

You may have noticed some very gorgeous dance wear for sale at the studio, very reasonable and very pink!
Please feel free to try on the tie tops or leotards from the rack on your child, as these are samples.
When you know your size and keen to purchase, place payment into one of the envelopes provided and pass it to your teacher, they will hand you the dancewear.

Term Fees

Thank you all for being so wonderfully prompt with your term payments!
Paying Term Fees on time determines how many places we have available in a class and ensures that you or your child has a place.  This also helps control how many there are in the class, and of course tells us our budget for the term.

If there is a problem, please call as we can work out a payment plan if need be. We would rather you speak to us and work it out rather than you hold off, not tell us, stress and pay later with an added late fee.

Stars and Glitter

At the beginning of each class we put a star on each fairies right foot and some magic fairy dust on their hand.
The very fabulous reason why we put the star on their foot is to teach them, which is their right foot and which is their left. We say “use your starry foot… your right foot” to shuffle or point.
Smoothing the fairy dust on their hand gives them a special moment with the teacher and makes them feel relaxed and welcome in the class.

We try to keep this short and sweet, as it is a very important part of our classes, as is the fairy wish at the end. All our rituals are extremely essential!
We are finding that children arriving late are slowing down this all-important part of the class. If a child arrives late, we find it makes it difficult for them to join in and they feel left out. The stars and fairy dust are especially vital if they are new fairies as it helps them settle into the class and meet their teacher.

If fairies are late it is also awkward for the teacher as they are trying to move onto the next part of the session but don’t want the late fairies to miss out on this personal touch.

We ask that you arrive at least 5 minutes prior to your class time so that your fairy has her fabulous fairy dress or ballet outfit and dance shoes on and is ready to go. We are keen to pack as much as we can into the 45 minutes and cant afford for this part of the class to drag on.
Thanks!

Glitterization Day.

Each Term at the Studio we have a very Glamorous Glitterization Day so you can Glitterize your despondent Dance Shoes!
Mum’s and kids form a circle on the studio floor at their own “Glitterization Station”, Miss Lou Lou goes through the process with everyone and shows you how to glitterize your dancing shoes.

Mum’s are served a glass of pink champagne to help steady the nerves and the kids spill glitter everywhere and eat chocolate teddy bear and tick tock biscuits. It’s Fab!

Dates –
★ Mordialloc Studio – Friday the 2nd of September at 4.00pm
★ Northcote Studio – Friday the 9th of September at 4.00pm
★ St Kilda Studio – Saturday the 10th of September at 10.00am

Cost – $20
What to bring-
★ Your Dancing Shoes.
★ 3 vials of glitter.

- Allow approx 60 to 90 minutes to do your shoes.
Please talk to Miss Lou Lou about colour combinations – It’s a tricky business!!

Spotlight sells a very dodgy type of glitter that does not stay on the shoes, I think it is too plasticky!
Lincraft have a great glitter in a little rectangle box. Some $2/Discount shops have a brand called “Value Craft” that seems to stay on well.

Place your name on the sign up sheet at the studio & pre-pay your $20 into the Glitterization envelope so we know how many are coming to do their shoes.
★ Glitterizing your dance shoes is not compulsory, but certainly makes you dance with glee!

Make-up Classes

If your child is unwell or are going to miss a class we are happy for you to do a make-up class.
It is most important to book in for the make-up session as if you arrive to a class with out us knowing there maybe several other children also having their make-up session on the same day/time.
This can cause chaos and may result in having 14 children in a class. Way toooooo crazy!
Please call PRIOR to the class to let her know so we can work out where you can fit in.
Make-up classes must be made up within the same term.
If we are not notified we cannot offer a make-up class.

Trial Classes/vouchers

Please call Miss Lollipop and book in. You may have received a trial voucher from our welcome package and have a sibling or friend to trial a class or if you are going to bring a friend along to a class for the day, please make sure there is enough space.
Please call PRIOR to the class.

Dance Teachers Mordialloc Studio

Glittery Tapping Wonderland is currently looking for dance teachers. Please let us know if you are a dance teacher and keen to teach or know of any that is keen. We especially need teachers who could jump in if one of our gracious teachers is unwell.

Emails

Glittery Tapping Wonderland likes to send out emails to remind you of up and coming events, reminders and of course our newsletter… The Taploid!
These emails are sent to all the families, and although you are very glamorous, it may come across that it is sent exclusively to you, O Glamorous One.
Example…Please disregard an email if it is a reminder for fees due if you have already paid.
If you know anyone who does not receive the emails, we may have a dodgy email address, which needs to be rectified.
Thanks for taking the time to read the emails, as mostly they are quite informative!

HEALTH CORNER

With Dr Lottie Prospect.

Dear Dr. Lottie,
My 12 year old daughter is obsessed with the pop idol Justin Bieber.
Recently I took her to his concert and she spent the entire time crying. She cries when she sees him on the TV, she cries when she hears him on the radio.
Is there a cure for Bieber Fever?
Signed Puzzled, Perplexed and slightly Bothered.

Dear Puzzled, Perplexed and slightly Bothered,
I heard there is quite a decent epidemic of the Bieber Fever going around.
I am somewhat confounded as to how this whole disease came about in the first place.
The Professor is convinced it was initiated on the Information Super Highway, and spread to a global pandemic.
As for treatment, I believe a good dose of cod liver oil should do the trick

Thank you for your perturbed letter.
Dr Lottie.

Thanks for reading!
Love Miss Lou Lou xx
