What to wear
An Outfit for Glittery Tap Dancing -
Anything comfy and/or glamorous!
A skirt and tights or 3/4 pants are both perfect.
(Long skirts or long flared pants make it hard to see feet)
A tee shirt is good on top so that you can get hot.
Wearing a jumper with nothing underneath will definitely make you swelter!
Shoes for Glittery Tap Dancing -
You don’t need tap shoes to begin.
Shoes that don’t grip too much like a leather or synthetic soled shoe is best.
The Shoes also need to stay on your feet and not be too flimsy. (Thongs are not so good!)
It is best to try out a class first before buying the shoes and see if it is for you!
Then once you are keen, you can rush out and buy the shoes!
You are gonna love it!! Especially when you have Glitterized your shoes!
An Outfit for Fairy Ballet -
The Littlies can wear a fairy dress and wings, a little ballet outfit or something they feel pretty and comfy in.
We have Fairy wings available!
Shoes for Fairy Ballet -
Ballet slippers or bare feet.
Ballet slippers are best for winter as their feet get cold.
Please no Jiffies as they are are very slippery, the elastic can also be very tight and cut into their feet.
An Outfit for Fairy Tap -
A fairy dress and wings, a little ballet outfit are all perfect – something they feel pretty and comfy in.
We have Fairy wings available!
Shoes for Fairy Tap -
They don’t need tap shoes to begin.
Shoes that don’t grip too much like a little sandal or shoe that stays on their feet.
(Barbie mules may sound nice and tappy but will fall off their feet!)
It is best to try them out in a class first before buying their shoes, but once they see the other fairies in glittery tap shoes….
Tan coloured tap shoes are easier to glitterize!
An Outfit for Giggle Ballet -
We quite like a leotard for Ballet; as we can see what their bodies are doing; with tights and a wrap around skirt. Or something slim fitting and stretchy where we can see their body movements, they need to feel comfortable in what they are wearing.
Shoes for Giggle Ballet -
Ballet shoes either canvas or leather.
An Outfit for Funky Jazz, Hip Hop and anything Funky! -
Something comfy that they/you can move well and get hot in.
Track pants or 3/4 pants and a tee shirt.
Pleas no Jeans as they get too hot and don’t stretch.
Shoes for Funky Jazz, Hip Hop and anything Funky! -
Sneakers are fine, but if you are super keen, the Jazz sneaker is great to dance in.
*Please note – If your child has a combined class, they won’t need to change outfits half way through.
Except for Tap, they will change into their tap shoes to half way through the class.

~ When you or your child grows out of their shoes, or if for some weird reason you cant keep dancing….
Shoes can be re-sold through the Glittery Tapping Wonderland.
~ Children need to have had a drink, a snack and a wee wee before we start!
