Tap Dancing Classes Melbourne
Tap dancing is not only a whole lot of fun, but also something that comes with a wide variety of wonderful health benefits!
Burning up to 400 calories in an hour, it also strengthens legs and ankles which helps reduce the risk of falls in older age-groups and exercise is one of the best prevention for dementia.
Tapping is a cardiovascular activity which works the vital organs like the heart and lungs which will help you to build your stamina. This movement will also develop your thighs, quads and calve muscles.
Participating in regular sessions will help with weight loss due to the energy expelled in the classes, you don’t realise you are working out because you are having fun!
Its also great for de-stressing as you can’t think of anything else once the class begins… And you get to glitterize your shoes!
Tap Dancing for all Ages and Abilities
While tapping is quite beloved amongst our kids, we’ve found that it’s equally as popular with our adult dancers.
Even if you have never put on a pair of dancing shoes in your life, that shouldn’t stop you from being able to explore the joys of tapping.
We believe everyone should be able to dance, regardless of age, ability or disability.
Correct technique is taught in a relaxed and fun atmosphere and you will finish the class extremely parched and glowing. (Or thirsty and sweaty.)
Most classes we hand out notes of the steps that you have learned, so you will have something to remember and practise in the kitchen whilst cooking dinner. Fabulous combinations will be taught so you have a plethora of moves to pull out at your next soiree.
Our gorgeous teachers have been teaching dance for many years, the classes are all inclusive, well planned with fantastic eclectic music ranging from the 1940’s through to the 1980’s.
We have many different levels, so whether you have tapped as a child and want to get back into it, or you are an absolute beginner, we can make sure you are looked after with a class that will suit you.
Brand new low impact classes begin this term for adults over 50 years, or for students that are carrying weight and need to exercise but don’t want to go to the gym. We help you take care of those knees and backs!
