Miss Vanessa!
St Kilda Studio Head Teacher and Manager.
Also known as Miss Darling Heart!
Teaching Fairy Ballet, Fairy Tap and Fairy Jazz!
Miss Vanessa started her dance training in Ballet (RAD Syllabus) at the age of 6. Ever since then, her love for dance has only grown stronger.
Miss Darling Heart first came to Melbourne in 2003 for further studies in The University of Melbourne, as well as to further her interest in dance. Upon arrival in Melbourne, she joined The University of Melbourne, Flare Dance Ensemble.
Miss Vanessa has been participating consistently in its annual productions as a dancer, instructor and choreographer. Her most valuable moments were the years of being the Artistic Director where she held artistic control over production choices and the overall artistic vision. This club has been a major aspect in her experience in the performing arts. Not only is she a performer who dances, but she is now a performer who understands the importance of all aspects to a performance – the preparation, lights, sound and backstage crew.
Upon graduating from The University of Melbourne in 2008, Miss Darling heart went to further her passion in dance to another level – undertaking full time dance training at Dance Factory. She has built up a diverse background in various dance styles – ballet, jazz, tap, contemporary, lyrical, funk, hip hop, and acrobatics. Miss Vanessa’s year as a full time dancer has enriched and expanded her knowledge in all areas of dance, including theory of dance and anatomy.
Previously only performing in small scale school events, she has now an extensive list of performing experience: performances in clubs, Chinese New Year events, Melbourne University club balls and events, The Great Victorian Bike Ride, Crown Palladium and Flare Dance Ensemble’s annual production.
Besides Miss Darling Heart’s qualification in Dance, she has also recently acquired my qualification as a Zumba Instructor.
As a dance instructor and choreographer, she has been able to gain valuable skills in keeping an observing eye on all students and catering to individuals’ needs to ensure that they achieve the best results they are capable of. Miss darling Heart believes that her passion to help anyone to enhance their capabilities is one of her strongest assets. Miss Vanessa also believes that children are the next generation and that her passion to share her love for dance to them is the way to go!

Hello, my name is Jessica Tavares Smith and I was born in United States – Atlanta, but was living with my mother in Brazil for most of my life… I always enjoyed dancing and making up choreography’s in my living room for all my family to watch…

- Miss Snowdrop!
I did many different types of dance from 5 until I was 17…I had my whole life (after school) in the dance academy Antares where I had a teacher that was a gorgeous mentor and always told me to keep dancing because she saw how much I loved doing it…

- Miss Snowdrop!
Later in life, when I turned 17 and had to choose a career, I decided to graduate in Advertising and Marketing, that way I could use my creative side and try to work in a fun environment… but I never felt like that was what I was meant to do in this beautiful world… and so, after graduating and meeting my Australian husband Andrew Sullivan I moved to Australia and started doing casual dance classes and working part time baby sitting… I have 2 young brothers back in Atlanta and I always used to love taking care of them and teaching them dance and activities…

- Miss Jessica looking fabulous!
When I finally got my visa I decided to have a career change and went to study at the Dance factory to get a teaching certificate, there I meet lots of good friends and specially my old and best friend… dancing…
I started working with a friend of mine in a dance school she owned for an year and suddenly I saw the Glittery Tapping Wonderland website and just felt in love with it…
After meeting the Dancing Queen Miss Lou Lou, we started working together and now I am a full time Fairy and part of this dream that came true!
