2011 Concerts

UPDATES ON DANCING CONCERT!

Now we have started Term 3 we will start to think about our end of year Concert! … Yay!

This year’s theme is “You’re Dreamin’!”

CONCERT 2 TO 5 YEARS –
Each class will start learning dance as well as a finale routine.

The week of the concert (below) your child will arrive at the studio at nearly their normal class time – we will run the classes on the hour so we have 15 minutes between classes for families to arrive and exit. (more details later)

Your Glittery Starlette will go to the change area where mummy will pop them into their costume.

Once everyone is ready and family and friends are seated, they will perform their very special dance, run through a few gorgeous exercises that they have been doing in the class, perform their finale dance and then catch a million bubbles.

They will then take a very big curtsy, pose for glamorous photos and then mummy can come back and change them out of their costume.

You will be able to snap away and take a zillion photos whilst they are performing and when they pose, curtsy and bow!

We have staggered the Concert weeks for each studio so that Miss Lou Lou doesn’t go loopy!

Concert week -
Northcote the week of the 28th of November
Mordialloc the week of the 5th of December
St Kilda the week of the 12th of December

CONCERT FOR AFTER SCHOOL AND SCHOOL-AGE SATURDAY CLASSES –
Northcote Sunday the 6th of November at 2pm at the Kew High School. 826 High St, East Kew.
Mordialloc Sunday the 20th of November at 2pm at Aspendale Primary School. Laura St, Aspendale.

This Term we will start working on a routine and a finale dance.

There will be a stop/start dress rehearsal on the day of the concert, rather than the 10 minutes per class on stage that we have done in the past, as the children are older and will cope with having a straight run through.

We will organize a costume, which we will hire to you so you won’t have to worry about sewing.

I have an outline of the time schedule for the day, but it needs a little tweaking!

COSTUMES -
Once we have fitted a costume to your child, you will receive an envelope for their costume hire. Simply pop the amount into the envelope and hand it back to your teacher.

No need to freak about sewing or expensive costume hire, we are very reasonable!
Costumes are cute and fun, no midriffs or Pussy Cat dolls attire!

ADULTS CLASSES –
The Adults we will have a glamorous soiree at our Studio.
Northcote Saturday the 26th of November at 7 pm.
Mordialloc Saturday the 3rd of December at 7pm.

Everyone can dress up and look fabulous, drink gallons of champagne (catch cabs home) and perform to friends and family in a relaxed and drunk atmosphere!
